Karen
Griffin’s interest in photography began when she was a teen, taking photography
classes and developing black-and-white photos in her basement darkroom. Through the years, her technique has evolved
from working with film to creating digital images. Karen realized the
unlimited ways to interpret these pictures. Her process explores an image from
different perspectives that invites the viewer to imagine, discover, and
contemplate the possibilities...
Thumb through the tabs and enjoy abstracts, hybrids, photos, poetry, guitars, butterflys, nature, hope, reality, things that matter, you...
Digital
hybrids are images drawn directly on the computer screen, combined with
images from paintings and/or photographs. Expressing an aesthetic
integrity along with a complexity of feelings/emotions. Digital
creations of art as unreal and metaphoric. A fusion
of artwork, photography, digital art, pastels, drawing and poetry,
exploring nature's blessings, the complex realities of the
materialistic external world, balancing or trying to balance that inner
self and trying to see some hope in the existential surroundings we
live.
